hey boys!

I got an idea! How about we send our psycedelic artist jesse in indio a white base coated single h bongo body and neck and have him apply wild 60's san francisco acid art and then top coat it and I will use it much like dargin uses his martini green bass. Just think every time Bovine pours a krogers charcaol filtered vodka martini and signs on he will see below big Poppa another bass he can't have.

By the way I thought the criticism post was amusing but ineffectual. I have yet to see in my life positive results come from a negative attack. You get more bee's with honey. I am all for free speech on this forum provided it isn't personal or insensitive. (except to torture Bovine with basses)

AS far as the forum instrument goes lets see if you guys can agree on something first. I think that will buy us about 5 years. We love your support and input, but remember a camel is a horse designed by committee.

Hi Big Poppa!

Welcome to the [your] forum, Big Poppa!!! It's great to have you here! How often do people get to talk directly to a person in such a position?

Hey, forum people -- what is GAS? Guitar Aquisition Syndrome? I couldn't find the thread which gave the meaning to the acronym.

That is such a very bad idea. Very very very bad, sir. And when you say "use it much like Dargin uses his martini green bass", I can only assume you mean use it to torture me, keep me awake at night and ruin my appetite?

he will see below big Poppa another bass he can't have

There are so many basses I can't have! I mean, okay, I have a fair number right now and have owned even more in the past, but lordy lordy, once you begin to look at the number of basses I HAVEN'T owned, it becomes almost unfathomable, really.

And sure, there's pain involved. To be sure.

By the way I thought the criticism post was amusing but ineffectual.

In the past, we have had threads dealing with problems and gripes and minor stuff, and it has ALWAYS (a) been addressed and usually (b) FIXED to everyone's satisfaction, with great slathering kudos to Jon and Scottie. Even things that probably shouldn't have been the company's responsibility - like obsolete parts for basses too old to be considered EB, necks gone weird from bad storage, etc - I've yet to see a problem that wasn't fixed. Any time I see "criticism" in a title, I first consider what we here know to be the facts - that we are taken care of in ways that Gibson owners can only dream of.

I am all for free speech on this forum provided it isn't personal or insensitive. (except to torture Bovine with basses)

Well, it's good to see that (a) it's a family thing and (b) there is at least a consensus on how best to hurt me.

Deeply.

Now I'm off to Google photos of camels.

By the way, we now see the power of Lord Bongo when he actually sells a Bongo!

Look at who we've attracted! Even the (in)famous Beth, the illustrious Brian!

The hits just keep on comin'!

the I'm sure it was me who did this,

Jack

Big Poppa,

If you *DO* decide to create a one-of-a-kind, masterpiece Bongo for taunting the Bovine, make sure you post pics here in the forum in the proper thread. It's just proper etiquette... :D

You can only see so much detail in an avatar..

Jack, all the abuse you get is just the burden of your fame. It's lonely at the top (top of what? I don't know).

You know, now that I'm in H-town, Dallas is just a gander up I-45. I may have to show up in your front yard someday. Actually, it would be more appropriate if it were the middle of the night, and I were drunk, of course. If you see someone who looks like a giant walking Q-tip with a Desert Gold Sterling creating a scene, just call the cops have them drag me away.
