hows the teachin goin? what grade again....
I'm doing something called "Content Mastery" in the mornings....high school level. Content Mastery is for kids who are passing but having difficulty in certain subjects. I tell the Calculus students to get away from me, but have fun with history, spanish and all the social sciences.
In the afternoons, I work with high-school age kids who are developmentally challenged or who have learning disorders. Some are more functional than others, but all have definite disabilities. (These are not your average suburban misdiagnosed ADD kids.)
I applied for the 12th grade senior girls' "Sexual Misconduct With Middle Aged Bassists" workshop, but haven't heard back on that one yet.
In the mornings, I am way under-utilized. By lunchtime, I'm ready to go work at Best Buy or something. Then the afternoon rolls around and I feel so useful that the morning frustration fades away. Not that the afternoon kids are easy; they are tough, hard to get to and they will manipulate the situation/teacher if they can, but I'm still new enough to think I can make a difference, albeit a small one.
We'll see. It's still a toss-up, boss, and overall I'd still rather be Beth's secretary.
That is going to be a beauty and I think a pretty rare one.
That's what Scotty and I were talking about. Not many like it, and while I clearly bow to your mastery of the single hummer, the dual pickups are good for me.
