Ole Man Blues, sorry about your loss, I can't imagine what you are going through but I hope that you can find some comfort in playing music.

Love and Light.

My father died 14 years ago and I miss him every day. How much harder it must be to lose your life partner. I know a little of what my mother went through then. I feel for you. Think of the wonderful gift of 38 years together that you shared. And I'm sure it was a wonderful gift for her, as well. Sending love and prayers of comfort your way.

OMB-- when my mum died my dad said he would wake in the night after having the worst nightmare possible, only to find it was real,

I can only imagine it is the same for you. you are in my prayers and thoughts.

Many thanks to all who have posted here.

After reading through all the posts I have taken comfort in these words written.

I know that some find it difficult to express their feelings in a way they truly feel. I appreciate the effort and time it takes to try. I covet your love and expression of your emotions. They mean much to my family and me. I have found that many that I have talked to over the past 5 weeks have expressed in different ways. Some have hugged or cried. Others struggle for words and have come up short. Some just say, I'm sorry or I'll pray for you.

As I have said I covet each and every word written or spoken as they are a real expression of love and heart felt sorrow.

As for my family and I we are doing well and have accepted her death and burial with love and grace. We will go on as it was her wishes for us not to grieve or cry endless tears over her. She said she was going to a better place and would rest and wait for "our" arrival one day.

Ann was a beautiful and wonderful lady who served her family well. She was 53 when she passed. So young and full of life.

Her last words spoken to me were, "I thought we were going to grow old together".

She was gone a little after midnight.

Many thanks again to all, and...........

a special thanks to Big Poppa for allowing me and others to post subject matter such as this to his forum. This is truly a family here.......

OMB, believe me, you'll never find a better place than here when in need of good vibes. Ever. These forums are the greatest proof of real humans being behind screens and keyboards, and the Internet being less virtual than one may think.

Once again, sending thousands of good vibes to you, and man, if you feel sad, angry, lost or whatever, catalyse it with music. That's how great pieces are given birth.

Peace,
Jean

OMB, you and your loved ones will be in my thoughts and prayers during this very tough time. I lost my mom on Dec. 7th, 2001 to a drunk driver, and I know that it makes life and the holidays that much tougher. Stay strong and we're all here for you if you ever need anything.

I'm feeling your pain, brother...I lost my sister (age 40)to brain cancer this year, and lost my father years ago to cancer (age 41). Not a day goes by that I don't think of them and miss them.
My heart goes out to you and your family.

get some hugs, man....they really help.

OMB - I'm not much good at saying this stuff, but my heart is with you and her other friends in this painful time. Keep her in your memory and live every moment of your life to the fullest as the man she admires.
