Looks great! Congrats on getting a rare one! I wonder how it compares to the original Luke 1?
Are they modded SA's (SA-57's) like in the original Luke 1?
Also, is the neck profile a lot thinner, also like on the original?

Wow! That's sure is pretty!
Lowering action: Try adjusting the truss rod first to see if it gives you the action you want. Also, might look if the nut has a shim.
If not, do the procedure you listed. I'd take the extra step and move the trem away from the posts so the fulcrum edge doesn't touch the posts when you are adjusting them.
Nice to know someone in the islands owns that axe!
NICE! congrats!! Let's see it in the daytime, outside..![]()
Kimono,
Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. I bought my original Luke 1 from Dan's guitars and have been searching for another used one there for the last few years with no luck. Now I don't have to search any longer. =)
I'm wondering if it is necessary to loosen strings for a slight truss rod adjustment on a floating bridge? I am inclined to simply push the trem arm and reduce tension that way prior to adjusting it. Thanks again.
