When I tried a Luke at Guitar Center:eek: . The neck and middle nail that nice clean tone I was looking for.

Mostly neck and bridge on distortion, and neck and neck+middle on clean. But I like to use all positions for different parts and I also use the volume and tone knobs a lot. That's why they are there right?!?!?!

Although I am not a Luke owner, just a Luke borrower (thanks Keith:D) I find the bridge humbucker with the tone knob rolled off to about 25-30% really kicks some serious butt

I love the luke because it's so versatile
- neck and neck+middle position for clean tones
- neck postion for crunched blues and hendrix-style stuff
- bridge position for every high gain tone
- not to forget the middle position with clean amp setting for knopfler stuff

It depends on which song I am playing and what sound I am going for.

Hey, I even use the MIDDLE pickup on some occasions! Makes for some interesting clean and lead tones!
