..and shimi, you may get this impression because most people are more likely to post a positive comment if they like the look of a guitar, than a negative one if they are not too keen. A guitar that doesn't particularly float my boat doesn't need knocking from me because somebody else almost certainly will like it.

I for one am fairly circumspect with my praise. I haven't posted before in this thread for this reason.

Now if we want to bring up the 'Sitrucci' again...........:D

how do EB getting the real feedback from their participates/client/potentials clients/forum members , if many people thinking like you , which means posting only good comments, but when they have negative comments about some model, color, whatever, they keep it to themselves .......

But you're saying only people that have a positive opinion post, actually it feels more 'accusatory'

I think that's the issue we're having. Could it be a language and intent issue? Unfortunatly you're left with what you type. So if it's not clear, it can blow up in your face.

Perception is reality on the net.

I understand your point, but we don't need the sledgehammer application of it, follow?

Just my 2 cents. Again, if I don't like something, I'll say it. I love that proto, and feel privledged to view it and that Sterling shares such things. Thanks BP!

ebmm has produced nothing but the best of everything they put out.
strings..
guitar cables..
pa cables.....
guitars..
i used just about everthing they put out. i use it HARD....& i've used them for years !!!
i am an avid ebmm fan......but i became this way through many years of using their stuff & experiencing nothin but amazing quality & consistancy. that alone is enough for me. then throw in the fact that they are acrosss the board awesome people to deal with puts it beyond approach.

the way i see it.......they came up w/ ALL killer guitars w/o my help.........

kinda like how telling a surgeon how to operate is mabey not very productive.......

dan , poppa ,dudley, & everyone else has proven thier genius time & time & time again as far as i'm concerned.

Its a matter of taste , im quite amazed how always the people in the forum likes everything , doesnt matter if its dark ,bright ,black , white ,gold ,green, pink ..... with sparkle , non sparkle , this kind of top, that kind of top .......etc' ,

actually i hope luke wont like it , and then maybe you gonna see another creation of luke from EB , isnt that great ???

See, it's not true that "how always the people in the forum likes everything". I doubt that very much. You see, in this thread alone there are what, 6 pages of posts so far?

Now, if all the forum members were jumping on the band wagon, that would mean we would see approximately 5, 338 positive posts. I didn't quite count that many. My guess is that at least a couple of those remaining 5300 people probably don't think it's the cats meow either, nor did they feel compelled to share that view with us.

AND, your post certainly did read as a shot at forum members and implied, whether intentional or not, that we are mindless drooling EBMM zombies, and although NorM may fit that description, the rest of us may not.

i never have a doubt about it , i never said that the quality is not good and the service- i left many questions to Beth , and always got an answers and fast

but when i see the list of the guitars that the members own which are diffrent,im amazed, how its easy for them to like all models, all colors all design

plus when i see a new model coming out how everybody allready want to order it , i was playing fender 15 years , i didnt like nothing else even if someone show me some other brand /model ,i didnt even like it, the look etc,,,,,,,

so now after 15 years i got the click with one model of MM , but thats it actually 2 but one its the real right one , maybe this explaining better to all defenders of the flag what i meant

shimi...could you put in your profile where you are from....I thought at one point you said Sweden, but I could be wrong. Plus it helps put an "X" on the world map.

Now, I will be honest and tell ya...I don't like everything by EBMM. I have my favorites which is just about all the guitars and basses. Some necks just don't do it for me as they have to "feel" good to me. Some don't. That is life and I appreciate that others do love the "feel" and looks of the other models. However, I don't bash it. Not saying you did bash it, but I just saying.

But, it is not down to our, the forums. opinion on an artist model. Plain and simple. Luke might get that axe and absolutely love it. He might want a change or two. Bottom line...it is his signature on that guitar and it is HIS opinion that will weigh the most. It will be up to HIM if he wants it or not.

However, the really cool part to all this. WE, as the forum, are given the PRIVILEDGE to see it. Big Poppa and all at EBMM don't have to do that. That in of itself is what makes this a great place to prop your feet up. He could have kept it a secret or out of our view. He is truly proud of his company's ability to keep the passion going. He doesn't have to try new ideas, but he thrives on them. That is what makes EBMM so much more special to me than the others out there.

Anywho...back on subject....THAT AXE IS KILLER!

I don't think you need to be too upset SHimi. I'm sure that what has happened, is we're not understanding you as well as you (or us) would like.

No reason to not take part in a forum.

Where are you from?

You have it backwards. You should post here and go easy on Beth. Beth is responsible for sales in over 80 foriegn countries and really is going way above and beyond her job in answering you numerous questions. Imagine if the over 2,000 export customers that that are waiting for thier instruments asked Beth numerous questions...she would not be able to handle her job to say the least. Remember she handles all of the Ernie Ball string distributors too.

No matter what country people live in it seems to hold true...the most harsh posters are the most sensitive when being responded too....Please Shimi be a little more sensitive when posting and a little less sensitive when reading posts directed at you . Then it will be a happy medium for all of us.

Right, talking of sensitive, I don't want anyone to think that I'm suggesting they are equivalent in any way, but when I saw BPs pics it reminded me of this guitar I remember from my youth!

http://www.westone.info/paduak.html

Clearly an inferior instrument but the same general kind of two tone thing happening.:D

Shimi,

Dargie/Dargin is Scott Ball, son of Sterling and working in the Music Man Factory.
