Hmmmm.

He made his guitar green though.....green I tell you.... ;)

Any idea on likelyhood of the order book opening time if Luke approves?

I have a big pile of cash here and I want you to have it...all in exchange for some wires and wood. Can't say fairer...

for my side, a maple top luke is something that I always wanted to see...but the way this top is designed is really much better than my idea.

now just make the same on a silo spec HSS, ( but keep the pickguard ) and I'll have all I ever wanted.

I didn't like the color, and I didn't have time to a/b it with a regular LUKE, but OMG what a great top on it! Perfectly bookmatched. I can't wait to hear how Luke feels about it. I think BP had it right with the blue color.

I wanted to make this trans bahama bluue but we didnt have time
I was just checking out the pics again and was wondering, what does Bahama Blue look like and why would / does it take longer?

Can't wait till tomorrow to get Lukes take on it. Maybe someone at the show will get a few pics of it in action :)

Bahama blue is not teal and not blue. It is representaive of he most beautiful water Ive seen. I 've taken several shots of the water in the Bahamas in order to duplicate.

The reason why we couldnt do it is that we had to have the guitar done in three days and we havent perfected the stain and did not have it in stock anyway. Also things you have never done before usually take longer and there is a learning curve even with a new color.

Remember this is the first prototype and may be the only one if Luke doesnt like it. If he does we will have plenty of time to perfect any new color offerings.

very cool bP. I really dig the new angle of things like the 20th Silo and now the Luke thingy. Even though it's not BahamaMamaBlue (which sounds wicked) I still like the new 'direction'

very fun to see.

you know you guys are old queens in the factory....every one that has seen it in person has raved about it. The neck is diseased with birdseye!

That was one of the sickest necks in recent memory. Very dark birdseye, and a lot of 'em

That sounds like its going to be a killer new color BP.
I certainly understand the learning curve on new projects, custom colors, dye and such.
I drove myself nuts mixing a red / brown and amber dye for a lap steel project I've been working on.
If you guys made a lap steel, I could have saved myself 100's of hours teaching myself to build one ;)

how do EB getting the real feedback from their participates/client/potentials clients/forum members , if many people thinking like you , which means posting only good comments, but when they have negative comments about some model, color, whatever, they keep it to themselves .......

shimi, I understand your comment but I am sure that BP and EBMM have far more sophisticated market research methods than just taking a quick look at the opinions of the knuckleheads on here.

Lots of people on here have multiple Balls (some have an awful lot), and are therefore much more likely to be receptive to a wider range of colours and guitar styles than the average customer, but I'm sure we only represent a tiny part of the overall market.

The more typical customer out there (I would imagine) is more likely to have no more than one or maybe two guitars and is likely to have bought either black or natural (50% of all orders apparently).

Wazzup cats and chicks!
Well, I just returned home from Vegas last night and my son Trevor brought me my new guiar from the desert! I am STOKED!! The pics dont do it justice!! It is STUNNING! The flame top, the birds eye neck is just ridiculous! It plays like a dream. I JUST got it so I need to play it more so I can give more details!!The only amp I have here at the house is an old Line-6 modeling amp. Its OK to practice with but not a fair judgement of what the guitar REALLY sounds like. I am gonna be using it with my real gear at the gig we are doing in LA at the Wiltern Theatre Sat night. It sounds great acoustically which is ALWAYS a great sign. I am always blown away by Music man and the quality and craftsmanship and LOVE that are put into all MM guitars, particularly mine but i am biased! hahaha Yeah, Biffer and family ARE my family but i would play these guitars even if i didnt know them! This new one is just awesome. I have no words. A classic.
As for those that dont dig it.. hey, thats cool. Guitars are like women and music and food. EVERYONE likes different things and thats what makes the world interesting! BUT.. NO ONE can argue tthat this guitar isnt built with the most class and feel.. I am honored o be a a small part of this wonderful family and thanks for to all of you guys for the kind words over the years as well!
i am humbled by greatness. thanks to Sterling, Scottt and Brian and all at MM for this wonderful early b day gift! i will wear it proudly!
Happy Sun.
