Heres hoping that the HH AL Catches on!

I haven't had GAS for a guitar in over a year... After seeing pics of the HH AL, I'm looking at some of my herd wondering which one is gonna be sacrficed for one. I've wanted EBMM to make a humbucker/rosewood AL for years. Give me a few months and I'll do my best to buy one!

good for you. i wanted to visit zombi this weekend and check that al out. congrats and enjoy that killer guitar.

I talked to Glen today Pat. He is going to try to get another sent to me. Or we could just arrange a meet up at another GC that does have one... :). I'm having withdrawls.

If you'd like a report from the field (thus far) the main difference I am seeing is this:

Obviously the forum guys who have had a chance to run into them have loved them... Three down with less than a couple days floor time (or none in fing's case, haha!)

As for the non-ebmm playing market. These guys are tough. I have shown them other models and they admit they are nice but aren't really swayed. These are different. I have guys that always grab and play the f's and g's going on about how sick this guitar is. Sure you know BP, guitar players are extremely difficult to sway away from the shape they are used to. But even with how new this shape is to most players (not us obviously) they automatically have a feeling of familiarity that they have with their tried and true players. Somehow they got this feeling even though it is essentially different in almost every way possible from what they are used to, they are at ease with it. It looks and feels like a classic. Or maybe it's so clean it seems like a reissue of an old friend. Either way, I'm sure the buzz around this one will build and build as the year goes forth.

As far as the GC sales staff goes, this guitar caught thier attention as well. I have guys that had never really tried EBMM talking to me about them all the time now. As far as GC goes in general, I think they might have always been a little cautious of the al due to the shape. I think this will turn it around as the year progresses and we may actually see it begin to compare to the pets's popularity in the years to come.

Hope that helps a bit.

For those of you looking for these locally, these are fewer in number because they are the earliest to arrive at GC. If you want one now that we already have in stock (especially before it has too much floor time) pm me. Or you can order them. If you want to take advantage of the coupon tomorrow is the last day. These guitars are absolutely everything they are cracked up to be. If you are on the fence about them, you still have 30 days to check it out and send it back if you don't like it.

Anyone know if the body route under the pick guard of the HH Al is specific for 2 x humbuckers, or does is have a swimming pool route?

Just wondering if it could take a SSS config as well as HH.

If this counts as a hijack, just ignore me. Typing out loud.

Thanks! I can't wait either ... however I'm gonna have to. That's ok, I'll console myself with my 25th until then :)
