Hi, I've Majesty Artisan from 2016 (bought it new from Sweetwater) and noticed that lacquer started to crack on the neck, close to the body. Guitar is used everyday, but was never dropped and I generally take very good care of it. This is how it looks like:

Is this something I should be worried about? Playability doesn't seem to be impacted by this issue. I'm just wondering if I should proactively do something about it?

Hmmm, these just appeared recently? Do you keep the guitar in a moisture and temperature controlled environment? Also, do you do any "neck bends" with the guitar?

That cracks are there for a while now, but recently they got a bit bigger, at least I don't remember them being that long. I looked closer at the neck and found another crack near the nut, which I didn't noticed earlier:

I don't have A/C at home. There is no bend and the playability is second to none after all these years. It is still the best guitar I own, but also the only one that has such cracks...

In the first picture they look more like scratches to me rather than cracks in the finish. There’s no real reason to have cracks in the finish there as there’s no wood joins in that direction there.

In the second photo that’s a stress crack in the finish. These kind of cracks commonly occur at hard corners which is where stress builds up. As you can see it starts at the corner of the nut rout. I am almost certain that this is purely cosmetic.

I would send an email including these photos as an attachment to Daniel at [email protected] and ask for advice.
