Thank you very much for your replies. Sorry that I did not say hello to the dog; didn't even know there was a dog :)

I am from Luxembourg/EUROPE and I never had the chance to wipe my feet at SanLouis. It is true what BigBoppa wrote, sorry that I was not well informed about the composition and team at EB MM. I must say that I am a little bit sad that the prices here in Europe are the double than in the US. But I am sure that the majesty is like music: some music needs to be listened again and again in order to please. I printed out a pic of the majesty and fixed it above my bed ;-)
I wish you all a happy thanksgiving.

I hope I would be welcome if I visit the factory someday, BigBoppa?

Guys, I'd just like to say how glad I am that the comments are respectful.

This is all we ask- it doesn't have to be all ass-kissy (like people allude to on other forums), just polite and well mannered, like you'd say in person. As we've seen, BP is proud of what has been accomplished and is usually pretty happy to share with everyone. Good stuff.

As you can tell by my sig, I'm a JP fanatic in all it's different forms. For a long time, JP's were the only EBMM's I would buy. The AL just looked strange to me, the Morse... too many pups. Then I tried a Morse and was hooked because of the pup combinations. This led me to the AL which is by far the most comfortable guitar I've ever played. Long story short... I can't wait to get my hands on a Majesty. While I find it visually stunning, I understand why it might not be everyone's cup of tea. But, like many have stated, I hope people will try it before they judge it. If I hadn't opened my mind about form and function of a guitar, I would have missed out on my Morses and my ALs.

I can understand people getting upset if this new model were replacing all of the old JP models, but it's not. So if you don't like it, it's not the end of the world… all the other JP models are still around.

I don't think you'll find many companies who do annual updates to an artist's model and still keep the previous models available! In the JP line there are lots of options between the original models, the BFRs and the JP[x]es, not to mention all the special runs that are offered.

I'll hold my tongue on what i think of this new model, but people really have nothing to complain about. Don't like it? Don't buy it. If you love JP's guitars, you're already spoiled for choice.

Not really a fan.. But when the Armada came out I said the same thing.. No I'm craving one... It's hard to predict on something that barely came out and we haven't even heard.. But I like the way EBMM tries new things..

I think the dream theater analogy was right on. The cutaways are different, I don't know how I'd feel about them without playing it. The controls I'd love to play with. All the talk about how thin the neck is worries me because if I don't have a little bit of meat on a neck my hand starts getting some light cramping. Not a problem at home, but not something I'd want to deal with at a gig. All that said.....I LOVE it in mystic dream, in fact that's probably my favorite color in EBMM line up truth be told.

If nothing else I want one to hang on the wall because EBMM put a Phi Mu Alpha in the 1st fret. Like John, John, and Mike it was my fraternity in college.

Even though I'm excited to see the guitar, I obviously feel bad for the people at EBMM who had to reveal it prematurely. That being said, I'm starting to like the guitar more and more! The Dream Theater analogy posted above is really spot on, it takes a while to "get it", but when you do, it's marvelous! Unfortunately, I can't see myself being able to afford one in a while, being a university student (currently saving up for a Sterling JP60 though), and I'm not even sure if I'll find a store nearby that will carry it (or sadly, any other EBMM guitar for that matter), but it looks incredibly comfortable! Especially in the picture with Luke, you really get a sense for how light it is. I really hope JP brings it on tour in February. Would be great to see and hear it in person being played by the guy it was designed for.

As for the discussion about new models coming out on a regular basis, I think it just shows the strength of the company constantly trying new things and being innovative. I plan on getting a JP6 as a graduation gift to myself, since I think it's by far the best looking of them all, but it's always nice to get excited about the new models popping up every now and then. Keep up the good work!

Woho, another person from Sweden, välkommen!
Unfortunately, Sweden seem to be really low-stocked on EBMM guitars so if you're hoping to try a guitar before you buy it, you're pretty much out of luck.

I can definitely recommend the JP6 though, I got it without trying it. Can't say anything about the Sterling line but the JP6 is the best thing I've ever played on. Love it.

I don't know, don't like the design, but absolutely appreciate the work that went into it.
Besides, it is not a replacement of the current line of amazing guitars, but an addition! Who doesn't like another addition?
Just another amazingly crafted instrument that a lot of you out there (perhaps not me) are going to enjoy!

Way to go BP, love your style!

Fixed ;)

When I first saw the Majesty I wasn't sure if I like the design. My wife said that it looks totally awesome and represents the playing of JP.
After spending (wasting?;) some time on watching it I agree with what she said - it's a 100% JP's guitar - fast, technical, elegant, futuristic, innovative. I like that. I'd love to try it (which will probably never happen, 'cause the amount of EBMM guitars in stores in Poland is smaller than low…;)

Great job JP, Big Poppa and all EBMM crew! :)

Congratulations B.P.I really like the look of the Majesty.I am quite stodgy..maybe even a throwback to anything 60s..but this one won me over first look..perfection..like going from props to jets..can*t wait to see the specs..and I wholly concur...not too many people on easy street these days to be able to spend big bucks on guitars..You people are great!

So, does having the "v" shape at the back of the tremolo require the trem cavity to be routed deeper? It seems like that would get in the way when trying to pull up.

Got to say I was not expecting this. I love the upper register access. I love the neck thru. I really looked at the upper horn and compared it to the other JP's. To me, it doesn't look that much different. I believe the lower horn cut down to where it's at makes the upper horn look "big".

Very very sleek looking. I think it is a great design and I just simply want to try one out. The feel is what sells it for me. Black is what I would get.

Great job Pops and to all your crew.

Wondering if anyone has a response for this. I absolutely LOVE this guitar. EBMM guitars are the very best guitars ever made IMO. I love the blue color but I'm wondering if the matte finish starts to get shiny after a while? Any one have any insight on this? Matte finishes are awesome but it drives me nuts when the matte finish wears away. Either way TAKE MY MONEY BP!!!!

Hi everyone,
I apologize by advance for my terrible english ^^

As I never exposed my feelings about MM products, I would like to shortly do it here, before discussing about the Majesty.

As a guitar player in 1999, just discovering dream theater and curious about how to play better, I walked into my local music shop and saw an used blue dawn parkle JP6 for sale.
Tried it, bought it in about 15 minutes, signing a credit without an hesitation.
It felt so great, thought I used a soloist type of guitar before !
I did more progress in some months than the latest years of playing.
I used two JP6 to the bone, chose to buy a new one rather than change the frets etc.
The JP12 I bought is just the best guitar I ever played, I miss the JP6s mainly on a emotional note because those instruments are so great that they give memories ! I'm not materialist but your guitars give me emotions.
Thanks BP, for your consistant effort, technical revolutions and your caring for artists and customers (it's great to being able to talk with you here).

Now, about the Majesty, my reaction was a two timer too, like : "wait, what ?" and then "oh my god, I can't wait to play one !".
I'm more interested in ergonomics, access etc...And I hope dearly to try one, because I think it has probably everything to be the best to my taste.
Today, my only issue would be the same than the crucified newcomer from last page...There is nearly no chance for this guitar to appear in my local shops and I will never spend 3000 euros in an untested guitar (who said I could ? :D)

Cheers BP, cheers to the community, in the world of instruments made with heart, for people playing music, not playing marketing
