The Stredking John Petrucci needs a faster switch an his Majesty... Is there maybe a new Piezo-system on the way?

JP uses 3-way-switches (except the JPX) on every signature guitar...there must be something new because there is just one input so far I know. I don´t believe that he gives up the piezosystem.

Just out of curiosity, what's the speed of a traditional toggle or blade switch? Is the switch on the older JP models any faster or slower than those?

See that's the thing. I can attest to the fact that a traditional analog toggle blade is as fast as the user can switch it- it's analog. There is no delay. That's why I think that the fast switching has to be involved with some sort of automatic digital switching.

So looking forward to seeing what this baby can do, what it looks like, how it plays, etc. MIDI switching or something like that would be amazing for people who could really take advantage of it.

Now, I almost regret ordering a JP13 7-string. Almost…

...this guitar is about ergonomics, sound balance and performance....its never just about tone....that is almost the easy part!

That I gotta believe. From the original JP on, ergonomics is one of the things that has stood out in the designs.

And BP -- this "torture" is so cool, thanks very much for the intrigue. What a great company to treat its fans and customers like this!

the piezo saddles are different - the pickups are recessed into the saddle, not protruding out the top.

Monday's torture was wonderful. But it is now Wednesday. Can we please have some new torture?

Looking forward to what Thursday might bring ...

Right you would think that, but BPs idea of torture probably consists of having a high resolution image of the guitar in its entirety on his desktop and dragging it over to the recycling bin then emptying it while laughing it up.

BP knows what he's doing and I'm sure he wants us to see the finished product just as badly as we want a full reveal. Remember, were lucky to even be recieving these teaser photos. Let's all patiently wait and let these guys do what they do best. Make products for their artists which in turn becomes guitars were able to purchase for ourselves and thank god for that!

The sheer horror that that image evokes ...

And on Halloween!
