Larry, would you and the rest of the boys and girls take plenty of pictures for us folks that for one reason or another can't attend?

Man, I hate to miss this, I've got a last second backup plan, but word from Virginia ain't good. But I just found out today that I will get to attend my own sons' birthday party Friday. I'm glad this worked out, I really hated leaving Beth here alone with twenty five 14 to 16 year olds.

Parker turns 15 tomorrow.

You know you will be sorely missed and you know that there'll be lots of pics.

I also know how much you would love to be here with us.

But in the long run you'll find yourself a much easier person to live with for having done the right thing for your mother.

You know that you and you're family are in the prayers of everyone here. There will be other times for us to break bread.

One more? Andrew?

Thinking perhaps Oddjob for that last seat Larry, if it's still open - Ritch can confirm when he poke in online...

We'll all get together tonight and figure it out. My MDX can carry 6 plus me. Paul will be bringing his car and can carry 3 with him. That makes 9 total. Maybe someone else can participate if more want to go.

Ive tried one of the mark bass heads into a 210 p traveller cab. Incredibly light weight head and cab. It sounded very good but did not produce the lows my eden head gives. For a lighweight rig im impressed. It seems there is always a catch. Lightweight you may have to give up some of the low end booty. Heavy cabs you have to give up the health of your back. The mark bass heads are priced very competitively here in Australia compared to other import brands so id say they are going to be very popular. The cabs are priced the same so we will see what happens.

Those MarkBass amps at the bday jams sounded incredible!

I thought they sounded great, too - and while there were two Mark heads onstage on Saturday night, only one was hooked up.

How about dat?

GC in Arlington Heights (Chicago 'burbs) has a pile of Mark Bass. I tried the one with a tube in the pre thru a 610 with a Sterling and it really sounded great. Big, warm, round and punchy - and only weights about as much as a pitcher of beer.

For the next rig I want to go with a separate pre and power amp so I'll have to pass on it for now. I'm not getting enough headroom out of my SVT4 + 810 (yeah, I know, we're loud) but the Ampeg stuff isn't really powerful for the output they claim. GC also had an Ashdown ABM900 that I thought I'd finally get to try out (didn't think they were dealers) but it didn't work. It wasn't labeled as used and had a "new" price on it. Not a good first impression...
