At one point in my life I liked Superman stuff. I remember that I had a Fossil watch that had the Superman logo on the face and was inscribed (by Fossil) "To Superman, Love Lois" on the back. It had this real retro look. I just don't think that sticking a neck on a piece of wood shaped like that emblem makes it worth what the guy is asking. If it was a real player? Maybe then. But you would need some proof. It seems too expensive for a collector considering that it says nothing about being licensed and it doesn't look like much of a bass from a bass playing point of view. If I had some disposable cash lying around and it was in the $400 range, I might consider it just for fun. He might be surprised at what it would bring if he let bidders decide instead of setting a ridiculous opening bid.

Is it one of kind though?

There are already 2 guitars (note differing pups/headstocks).
