Hello all,
I haven't been on this forum for a while, but I have to relay a story to you all. So back in September I got my first Music Man (a De-Purple Burst Morse Y2D with a Floyd Rose). After a couple months of playing that guitar I could not take another second fiddling with a tremolo and got rid of it. I went back to my standard single-cutaway guitars and (I thought) wouldn't look back. However, over the course of the past month or so I began to realize I REALLY missed that Morse. The neck was amazing, and it sounded great. I cursed myself aloud daily for getting rid of it, but justified my choice by saying that I could never play a guitar with a tremolo on it anyway (I currently have NO guitars with tremolos) and some day I would've gotten rid of it regardless. But, try as I might I couldn't forget about it. I loved my Music Man. It's construction was far superior to the products of most (if not all) other companies. Determined that I had made the right choice, but knowing that I must have another Music Man, I settled on another Morse Y2D, but this time I found one with a stoptail, and with a nicer top (though to be fair the "worst" Music Man quilt/flame top I've ever seen in pictures is better than the nicest quilt/flame top I've seen on most other companies Custom Shop models). So anyways, my new Morse Y2D will be here on Wednesday or Thursday and I absolutely cannot wait to play a Music Man again. Thus ends my tale. Music Man is like the mafia, just when you think you are out, they pull you back in;) (but in a totally good way).

Great news, remember pics when it arrives.

I just can't get on with a trem either.

Good call grabbing the hard tail Y2D.

Excellent choice ! My next Ball will be a Y2D (non-Floyd) or a Reflex. But first I need to sell my Dargie II :D
Can't wait to see pics of the new Morse. Congrats on your new purchase !!

I know exactly how you feel! I had a Y2D same specs as yours but no matching headstock. Sold it about two years ago... Never should have done that! God I miss that guitar! They don't come cheap here in Norway. You must add 25% of the U.S price plus shipping. due to taxes... But I'll get a new Morse next year. Probably gonna go with a Standard Morse, hardtail, blueburst. And later on get a Y2D in purple sunset with a quilt top. Better start saving now :p Anyway, congrats with the purchase of one hell of a guitar! Looking forward to pictures!

Cheers!

Amazing guitar the Y2D. It is my main axe that replaced a few other EBMMs. Of course I wish I could keep all those other ones, but that's how it is. This one is sticking around though.

I'm really equally torn between the Purple Sunset and the De-Purple Burst. The Morse I had before (with the Floyd) was in the De-Purple Burst, but I chose Purple Sunset this time because none of the De-Purple Burst guitars had a top that was as awesome as this one (from the pics that were supplied anyway). However, yes, I already enjoy looking at it and whenever I walk by that room I peak in and look at it.
