Hi Guys
All is well threeminuteboy no smoking amp as of yet!!
Fbecir has really helped with the setup side so thanks again dude.
I have to say Scooby i am so impressed with the modulation side of things. I was a bit sceptical at first as all multi pedals claim to be great but we all know a lot of them are pants. The sounds are single pedal in quality and the amount of tweaking that can be done is virtually limitless.TC have done a great job on the sounds in the Nova. So what happened to yours Scoob? What have you got know?

I used my Nova, with a few keeley pedals, wah and volume pedal when I had my rig back in California. But I relocated to South Korea for work, and I simply couldn't bring my rig to Korea. 1. Just too costly to ship. 2. Different/Power Voltage system that I didn't want to deal with. So I parted out my whole rig. it was a sad day.

I opted for an Eleven Rack. Modelling was simply the only way to go for convenience and saving space.

I totally miss the nova though. It even sounded great when I sent the piezo out to it from the JP.

Write down what effects you want to have and buy quality pedals one at a time. Buy a great delay, save up and buy a great phaser, etc. I understand the appeal of multi effects units, but most likely you'll end up buying nicer sounding pedals down the road. Why not start now and take it slow buying o e good pedal at a time. Your ears will thank you.

I agree. There are some really great pedals available. Hand painted boutique pedals are so cool.

I have a Boss ME-70, And while it has some nice features. I find it almost impossible to get a decent tone out of it. THe multi-effect foot controller has awesome setups for whammy and decent wah's, but the only other effect i use is the modulation and the delay. The distortion multi effects suck and the synth effects don't work quite right, and do not get me started on the terrible pre-amp settings

The addage "spend less, play more" I think really applies when speaking of effects pedals. Buying a $500+ pedal board will not make you sound like the greats. But practicing consistantly and then just tuning the gear you have will develop you'r own tone. I think having a good dedicated pedal for every effect you need is better than having an all in one solution (Excluding the G-system and Axe FX because i have not used them)

Thanks for your input 1jay. The main reason i went away from the single pedal route was because i was having electrical problems with my effects chain. The Nova has cured that but i get where you are coming from on this

Thanks
