Howdy!
I've recently bought a music man Axis! (Tabacco Burst). Its amazing. I noticed it comes with a few sets of springs, each with different sizes and numbers of springs.
Firstly, is it ok to play this full floating? I've done it, but i don't know what the reprocussions are so i'm iffy. I like the option of going high with the whammy, and feathering too ofcourse. Is this naughty?
Secondly, I left if out of the case, and the action went so low that all the strings were hitting the fretboard and making it sound like a rusty cheese wire. Why is this? Is it because the truss rod is so sensitive to temp. changes that it goes crazy? And what should I do to avoid this? I play in a metal band in the UK and like low action, but not that low.. heheh! It's scary when the guitar does things on its own!!
