Boris, I was only giving you my personal experience with the fender cases and the fact that they have failed before they even get out of the box (the latches that is). I have never seen an EBMM/SKB do this, If I offended you in any way I apologize. I have been working in the music retail business for over 6 years and it irritates me when I see companies make changes to a product and not for the better, but to make more money off of cutting corners on an already good product, again thats just my opinion.

Don't worry. I can take it. I'm like a MM case. Hard on the outside and plush on the inside. Hopefully with a comfortable handle and no broken latches. Maybe a little bigger than necessary. It's good to get everyone riled up about case details anyway. It shows we have our priorities straight.

Do we really need compartments with lids? I always assumed that with the case closed, the top bit of the case inside became the lid, if that makes sense. I haven't noticed anything flying around anyway.

Don't worry about it. We're just typing on the internet about basses.

Good point. That's why it's funny to me when ppl sometimes preface their posts with "not to be controversial", or something to that effect. How controversial can it possibly be, given the subject matter? I mean, we're not talking religion, politics, morality or ethics here. Can't we all just get along? :D
