Hi! This one was done on August 30, 2007 and shipped under the Artist Relations account.

That serial comes up as a Blueburst StingRay from March 1990, and it looks like it originally had a maple fretboard

Hi! This one was done on August 30, 2007 and shipped under the Artist Relations account.



That serial comes up as a Blueburst StingRay from March 1990, and it looks like it originally had a maple fretboard

Your bass was originally shipped to Thoroughbred Music in Florida.

I have a SR5 that I purchased new in 88 or 89. The only number that I can find is on the bridge. It is 50592. The bass is natural ash with tiger maple neck and rosewood board. The body is one solid piece of ash not individual boards laminated together. Beautiful. It was purchased at Horseshoe Music in Portland Oregon which is nolonger in business. I was told that it was the SR5 display model at the NAMM shoe in 88. Does this sound accurate?

I looked up your serial number 50592, and it comes up with the correct specs that you mentioned but it has a production date of 3/13/90 and it was indeed sold to Horseshoe Music.
