I purchased a EBMM 4 Stingray bass guitar in the mid 90's, it's a beautiful sunburst on a maple neck. Can you help establish possible date of manufacture?

Where is my bass is coming from and sold to ??? (Europe, Asia, America)

DOB: 5/11/05 The bass was made in San Luis Obispo, California (labeled on the back of the headstock). It was originally sold to Guitar Emporium in Louisville, Kentucky.

Our database comes up with a date of 8/15/88 for that serial number but it has no description at all, so I can't confirm it's for that Sabre.

Oli, there is no data on the early Ernie Ball "Bxxxxxx" serials...as is the case with the Pre-EB "Bxxxxxx" serials.

Aswell as dates on the neck heel and in the neck pocket on the body, the pre-amp should be dated with a black marker pen on the rear of the pre-amp control plate but unfortunately it gives no info as to body finish, neck etc.
