Stingray 5 E35319

Hello. I'm currently thinking about buying a Stingray 5, serial no. E35319. Is this a 2003 model?
Thanks in advance.

Hello A.J.
I would like to know the DOB of that SR 5 with serial number 50508.
Also, what was the original body color , (right now, it has some sort of orange color and I am not sure it is original)

We were visiting friends in Chicago and I spent a day walking between guitar shops while the wife went shopping in the city. I have never been so cold in my life and it wasn't even snowing. I'd walked so far from the apartment I had to learn the rail system to get back with my new Stingray (there was a 50/50 chance I was going the right way). Realised some time later that if I'd walked the other way, I would have seen the lake.

Another trip to the US, another guitar. This time I was LA and spoiled for choise. I'd settled on a Fender Custom Shop P bass, when the wife looked high on the wall and said' "that's a blue pretty one" and pointed to the Bongo. I'd never seen one before and asked if I could give it a try. Given the futuristic look and terrible name (seriously, have you used up all the good names with Stingray and Sabre?), I expected not to like it. Well, I was wrong. Here's a tip guys, "pretty" equals permission and I walked out with the P and the Bongo.

The Bongo and I have had some adventures together, including standing next to a Mr Squire, both with our basses in hand.

Just thought I'd add my two Stingrays, mostly for the record, but any info you might have to hand would also be interesting!

They are...

no. E38029, four-string rosewood Blue Dawn thingy, and
no. E40417, four-string fretless Honeyburst.

I have a followup question for the Bongo 6H: F40888, March 7th, 2012.

It is black but do you have a record whether it is black-black or sapphire black?

Thanks
