Left 5 string Musicman here L58164. Looking to sell on Ebay and need the serial number for the description. Thanks!

This left-handed StingRay 5 was completed on April 20th, 1998. The color is Black with the lined fretless neck. It was originally shipped to Bass Central.

This Sterling was completed on March 20th, 1996. The color comes up as "Special" with the Maple neck. It was originally shipped to EM Nordic.

Also I can't seem to find the color, some are calling in graphite, carbon blue, etc. Appears to be a discontinued color, just want to make sure I call it the right thing. I found a photo of the same finish, please find it below.

Any help on a date and color ID would be extremely helpful.

This StingRay HH was completed on July 12th, 2006. The color is Sapphire Black with the Rosewood fretboard. It was originally shipped to Guitar Center.

This serial number appears to be from a pre Ernie Ball bass. The serial number database didn't come around until the late 1980s after Ernie Ball took over the company so we don't have the production records for these unfortunately. There is usually a date stamp in the neck pocket or pickup cavity that will give you an idea of the production time. There is also a great reference website for pre Ernie Ball instruments where you can compare to similar serial numbers, http://musicmanbass.org/mycustompage0052.htm.

This Sterling was completed on October 27th, 2005. The color is Black with the Maple neck. It has the custom wound Ernie Ball Music Man pickup with ceramic magnets. The body wood is Ash. The pickguard is Black. It was originally shipped to Ye Olde Music Shop.
