Hi. Just picked up a used 5 string fretless with the serial number E36103. I was wondering what year it was and curious to where it was first out of the factory? Was also wondering about the specs, specifically the fingerboard material. Thanks!!!

Hello I have a five string sting ray black. Serial number 51230 - Could I get a DOB please? :) Thanks

September 21st, 1990.

Hello,

Recently purchased and older EB Sterling, the serial number is 43950 that is stamped on the bridge, can you provide any detail on this instrument?? Thanks!!

Marty

This Sterling was completed on December 22nd, 1994. The color is Pearl Blue with the Rosewood fretboard. It was originally shipped to Mike's Music Shop.

I have picked up a ebmm stingray, it's serial number is B 04788. Is this one of the rare 50 'redhot' series stingrays? It's trans red with maple neck. Any info much appreciated:)

This StingRay 2EQ was completed on January 24th, 1997. The color is Translucent Red with the Maple neck. It was originally shipped to Strings & Things. We didn't have any notes in our archive/time line of a "Red Hot" limited edition run, but it's possible. Please e-mail your serial number to [email protected] and we can get our exports team involved to see if they have any information about that.

E 53143 ? Thanks

I would like to buy Stingray with serial number 54250 placed on bridge. Is this original MM bass? I've never seen MM with serial number situated on bridge before. There is no any numbers on guitar's back and bass has metal plate covering battery (also never seen this in MM before). So, if anyone could tell me is this instrument original, or what? Seller claims the bass is from 1993.

Last question promise. Or redirect to case thread.
I have a "bullet" case and understand these were not stock with the instruments but sold separately.
I have a vintage '76 Stingray. B003930...Neck 7 Apr 1977. Body 14 Dec 1976 (signed "Joey").
What type of case would this have come with? Same black G&G? Thanks again.

If you would be so kind, I would like all available information on my "Preyshuus" Stingray. S/N: E40546 (painted burnt orange with matching headstock, maple fretboard, 3 band active EQ). When I saw this thread, I realized I had NEVER thrown a birthday party for my baby and I feel really bad about that. Also would like to know if it is wearing it's original birthday suit (tweed gig bag), where it was originally shipped and anything else (body wood, paint code, production date, frets type, etc.) that can be publicly revealed about my favorite stringed child (sorry Martin, Steiny and Strat). Many Funkin' thanks for whatever you can provide ;~))

This StingRay 5 was completed on January 28th, 1994. The color is Teal with the Rosewood fretboard. It was originally shipped to Jimmy D's Music. In1996 we switched from using the battery plate to the plastic battery box. In 2008 we started stamping the serial numbers into the neck plate instead of the bridge.

Unfortunately we don't have records for the cases at that time. Can you e-mail [email protected] with this questions. We'll reach out to a few people to see if we can find out. Thank you.

This StingRay 5 with piezo was completed on August 9th, 2007. The color is Translucent Red with the Maple neck (we get from different suppliers so it can vary, that info on the specific type of maple is not in our serial number database). The body wood is Ash. The neck is finished with Gunstock Oil & Wax. The pickup is Ceramic with dummy coil. It was originally shipped to Music Info.

This StingRay 3EQ was completed on May 11th, 2004. The color is Lava Pearl (build code 29) with the Maple neck & matching headstock. The body wood is Ash. The frets are Nickel. This one would have been shipped in a black SKB case. It was originally shipped to Guitar Center.

Thank you so very much for this information. Love that it is Lava Pearl rather than as I described (burnt orange). Way cooler, or hotter I guess.

Cheers~
