Thanks for getting back with that. The serial number database didn't come around until the late 1980s after Ernie Ball took over the company so we don't have the production records for those unfortunately. There may be a date stamp in the neck pocket or heel. There's a good reference site where you can compare to similar serial numbers, http://musicmanbass.org/mycustompage0052.htm

Thanks for the fast reply! I made a mistake on the serial... it should be B050928, not B050921. No wonder the colour did not match. I assumed the production year would still be 2010, but I'll be interested in knowing the exact date and where it was sent to.

Hi. Could you help? I've got a lovely (and well worn, loved and played over meany years) MM Stingray 2-eq in red with maple neck. I think it's mid-late 80s, I've owned it since '92 when it had already enjoyed many years of use, but it would be great to have some more info. Serial number on the bridge is 26022. Many thanks!
