Hello, please forgive me first off for e-mailing customer service about the serial number of the NAMM bass on ebay right now. I actually forgot this thread was here.

Can someone please provide me with some history regarding NAMM anniv. bass B011879?

Thanks for any history and help you can lend with this. The seller has lost the original paperwork that came with this bass, that is why I am asking.

Kirby,

No problem, like all of the NAMM 100th Anniversary StingRays, this one has a completion date of about January 30, 2001. We made 100 of these total, with 49 going to U.S. dealers and 49 going around the world. 1 was given to the NAMM folks and 1 is in "the vault".

Nice that you have one!

Cheers,

Dan

Dan,

I have a beautiful black Sterling w/one-piece birdseye maple neck, SN B03316

Would you know the DOB and the body wood (I'm thinking poplar, but not sure)?

Thanks!

Hi Dan,

Can you give me everything you have on my natural/maple SR5 E37980, please. I bought it new exactly four years ago along with a white pearloid scrathplate which it now wears.

Thanks, Don.

Sorry.

Got my first EBMM from the greatest fiance ever. (we did our christmas with my family early, because she has to work Christmas Day, darn hospitals). I totally wasn't expecting it, because I had bugged her about it forever, and she kept telling me that she didn't get it.

Oh yeah. Hi, I'm Andrew.

Just kinda wanted to know it's history and add it to the DB.

drTStingray-Your bass was completed on 7/31/2003. It was sent to Stingray & Things, our UK distributor. The only other information I have on it is the color, pickguard, neck, etc, but you already know all of that.

Xorisso-Your bass was completed on 9/30/1999. It features a very cool discontinued color, "metal flake green". It was shipped to Alrica in Portugal.

People_Hater-Your bass was completed on 12/08/1992. The body is made of ash.

scrove-Welcome aboard! Your Sterling was completed on 8/09/2005.

One more Q re E40006

Does this bass have a shielded cavity? I'm new to EBMM, so don't know if some SRs do, or all do. I'm getting RF noise at my regular (church) gig, never a problem before. THX

serial number info

Hi,

I just scored a used Stingray 4 bass. It has a maple neck on a natural body with a black pickguard. The serial number is E48081. I'd like to know its date of manufacture and any other additional info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and Merry Christmas!
