Oli, you will have to wait almost a year - she was a complete instrument on 10/02/07. Went to GC's central warehouse.

Dan

Thanks a lot for the info, Dan! I thought that she's pretty young... what a lady, I can tell you. And that white with matching headstock and rosewood and a tort pickguard makes her look really delicious!

Is there any way you could also check what kind of Humbucker should be in that guitar?

When it shipped from the factory, it should have had a Music Man pickup. AFAIK, EBMM has never put another manufacturer's pickups in their basses. Aftermarket pickups are generally considered a downgrade.

I mean Ceramic or Alnico. :)

Sorry, I didn't think of that. Dan can confirm/deny this, but it should be ceramic.

mynan, as always, you are on it my friend. Definitely ceramic. we started using alnico in March of this year, but for the preceding 17 years or so, the pole pieces have been ceramic (ferrite).

Imperius Rex!

Sure - this bass in the original Blue Dawn finish, with a maple fretboard and a matching headstock, was completed on 9/13/02 and was shipped to Bass Central. The clear pickguard, I know, was something they were getting aftermarket and putting on these beautifully-finished basses so as to display their full burst.

Slow, nice acquisition! This Translucent Gold StingRay with a maple board and matching headstock was built on July 7 2000 and was originally shipped to GC $330 near Chicago.

My translucent red / white pickguard SR5 serial number is E19640, I believe if I remember rightly I've bought this brand new in 2002 from The Bass Center in London, but I would like to have it's actual serial date of production.

Thanks in advance.

Hello, I'm looking for any info on a Stingray, serial number E50950, please.
Thank you.

5lim, this StingRay was completed on 1/24/06 and was shipped to Long & McQuade's main shipping point in Canada. This was from a unique run of StingRays in Pearl Reburst and a clear pickguard - interesting! ;)

CaptMoto, your bass was completed on Dec 22 2000 and shipped to our U.K. distributor, probably arriving on British shores at the top of 2001. Hope that helps!

Cheers,

Dan
