I've got 2 SR5's that I'd like to know the (approximate) birthdays of, if that's ok?
E02507: black with figured birdseye maple neck
E45745: Natural Ash, and I believe it originally had a rosewood neck, but it was sold to me with a maple neck.

Hello All,
A friend of mine came into a MusicMan Stingray about a year ago (Her brothers friend gave it to her because he doesn't play and she wants to learn...). I've never had the chance to scope it out, (or even knew she had a bass! up until a few days ago), but from what she is telling me I think it's a pretty sweet ride.
I'm going to check it out sometime this week, but she wanted me to dig up some information for her. Serial Number is B008829. I think it was made in Fall of '78 but I'm not sure...

B008829 should be 1978 going by a comparison with other Pre-EB serials. But some can be way out of chronological order. Both the neck heel and neck pocket will be dated.

heytrid, your Sterling in Burnt Apple was completed on 12/20/02 and was sent originally to Long & McQuade in Victoria. Oh, and you can get replacement keys by contacting Music Man Customer Service at [email protected] ..
