Greetings,

Any info on F03397? It's a candy apple red Sterling with a piezo.

Thanks,
Jess

P.S. Ernie Ball is a model company. Great customer service to be doing this!

Jess, cool, thanks for saying so! :)

Your bass was completed on 12/29/00 and was originally sent to Sam Ash in Columbus, Ohio. Actually we show the finish as Translucent Red as opposed to Candy Red, the difference being you can see the grain on yours, no?

Another Sterling

Hi Again Dan,

I'm hot on the trail of adding another EMBB to my collection. I'd like to get information on a Sterling 4H with serial # B035XX. As far as I can tell it has a satin/natural velvet finish... is this correct? Also what was its DOB? Any other info you have would be helpful.

I thank you so much for this indulgence. :)

Jess, this one was probably made in 1996 or so, no way to know for sure without the exact serial number. yes, what you are seeing there is probably a matted "Natural Velvet" sheen finish. They were made for a few years in the last half of the '90's ... not especially rare.

Jakub, your black Sterling was built on 4/29/03. Maple neck, black pickguard.

Hello,
Just bought MusicMan Sterling 4 String, serial number: F00912 and I would like to have more info about it....

Thanks a lot for help!
Ilya
Ilya, it must be Sterling Day! Your Pearl Blue Sterling was built on 1/08/99 and was shipped to MMI in Mobile, Alabama.

Just got another Black Beauty SR5 serial number 50867 and was wondering when it left the factory and what the body wood is? Has a nice birds eye maple neck with rosewood board. Thanks!
Hornet, your black StingRay 5 was completed on 6/21/89. The body is made of poplar.

Nice!

Your 30th Anniversary StingRay was built on 5/23/06 and was shipped to GC's CDC. There were like 200 or more that were all invoiced and sent to GC on the same day - so even though your serial number is low, it is one of many that same week that were all billed on the same day, so it is really impossible to know which were completed first.

GK, this is your only home for accurate serial number information on 1989 and later Music Man instruments! ;)

This Sunburst (as we called it back then) StingRay 4 with a maple neck/board and a matching headstock was built on 12/20/00 and was shipped to Dietze Music in Lincoln, Nebraska.
