Zubastyi, welcome to the Forum. Your SUB Sterling bass was built on 12/01/2005 and shipped to Russia. It was painted in Textured White, but all SUBs featured a black painted back of neck and headstock. All of the fretboards were rosewood.

Hello Dan :)

I have a lovely Black SR5 fretless here. The Pau Ferro board fell apart within its first year since manufacture, so an ebony board was put on her.

However i would love the exact date it was built, spec and where it was sent too! :)

Cheers!

Asomodi, that's weird about the pau ferro falling apart ... how does that happen? Anyway it was completed on 4/16/93 and shipped to the U.K.

My Beloved Stingray....

Hi Dan-

I'd really love to get some info about my Stingray. The serial number is: E26362.

It's been my day to day "go to" bass for about 5 years now.

Best,
CARTIER

Honestly i dont really know :) thanks for that, Do you know if it was shipped with a phantom coil pup or not? Mine does not have a phantom coil to look at.

Pictures here!

Aso, apparently that is true. This is the latest one I have seen without the phantom coil. As mentioned earlier, in another thread, the original SR5 did not have a phantom coil, which was added later. By 1993 I would have thought they would all be equipped with it - but I would be wrong! Interesting .....

Hey Dan! Just got a second MM--a SR5 (I know the date on this), but got to thinking I never requested a date for my first MMSR4 #E59713.

Thanks!

And what does for following mean in the "trackback" section??

Already pinged:

degrev, your StingRay 4 was built on 5/01/07 and was shipped to Bass Central.

I have no idea what the trackbacks are about, I cannot access them.

Hello 5Stringer. Here another stingrayer from Spain. I'm very very happy with my new axe.
My new Stingray natural serial number is E35286. Could you give me any info about it ,and what kind of wood, it seems more light than others SR, please?
Thanks!
