I've just got a Stingray 5 second hand and the serial on the back of the headstock is X05262. Under the body in the neck cavity it says XO4, with a date of Nov 20, 2003. Any info regarding this bass? Cheers, Dave.

Hey y'all!

I recently bought myself some nice new gear, I got myself TWO new Bongo's. Just wondering what date they were built, and while I'm at it, I'd like to have the details of my SR5, too.

The Bongo6 is a blue one, shop says it's a blue pearl one. But from the pics on the internet, blue pearl looks bright blue-ish to me, while this one is quite dark, with some greenish/purple shine, depending on the angle of light. But you can tell me which color it is, right?

The Bongo5 is tangerine pearl.

The serials are:

Unfortunately, our database doesn't date back that far. However, after referencing musicmanbass.org, 1978 sounds about right.
