this is either a mix up or I got a very good fake !

The bass is a fretted 4 string 2-EQ stingray in teal with a black pickguard and a maple neck, though the DOB might be the right one.

And the serial is without the 0 in the beginning so just 36776.
Pretty confused right now !

Sowo,

I add the "0" on my end because it's necessary to look up the SN. The finish on this one matches up as well, so maybe the neck was switched out on this bass at some point in time.

Hi. It should be a 1977 Bass. Details were not recorded but you'll find dates on the neck heel & in the neck heel pocket on the body. Also serials were not in strict chronological order.
