Unfortunately we don't have any information regarding pre Ernie Ball instruments. You could always take off the neck and look on the heel of the neck and in the neck pocket for date stamps though.

How about a date on a 5 string stingray.. I bought used in 05... I think they said it was from the 90s but can't be too sure.
