I bought a MM SR5 for my son in 1999. It is serial number E07554. The shop I purchased it from said it was some sort of prototype of new color/pattern. Can you provide me the date of birth and complete spec for it?

The first bass I received on my 9th birthday was a 4 string Musicman Stingray. I'm nearly 20, and it is still my favourite to play.
When I got it, it was bought second hand off eBay from a guy here in England. Can you tell me it's date of birth?

This StingRay 3EQ was completed on September 20th, 2002. The color is burnt apple with the rosewood fingerboard. The body wood is Ash. It was originally sold to Guitar Center.

This JP6 was completed on January 11th, 2002. It has custom wound DiMarzio pickups. The color is pearl red burst.

This StingRay was completed on July 2nd, 2004. This model was the first limited edition we offered and they were only available to order from February to April of 2004. The color is radiance red with a maple neck and black head stock. They were shipped to the dealers in G&G cases. This one was originally sold to Syncro.
