Help! Musicman Bass Question

Hell, you guys don't seem too insane either. Guess I could stick around awhile.
Gotta say, I spent two years living in the USA, had some of the best times in my life there. Loved the people.
Yep, going for a Stingray, will post some pix to prove it. Thanks again.

I get several "pained voices" from overseas everytime I sell a bass. Some people will do nearly anything to get their hands on a MADEINUSA. Guess it helps you realize how good we have it, instrument-wise (no politics here) in the Good old USofA.

Well, we can all get that Made in the USA stuff here too, but at a price premium because of the small size of our domestic market, which is why it's attractive to buy used from Americans on forums and eBay.

Thanks - here's the proof!

Hi All,

Well I did a bit of searching on EBay and bought this Stingray. It has no marks or scratches on it.

It also came with a stand, stainless steel mirrored pickguard, and a Hipshot. Also, there are 2 anti-slip bass strap fasteners and a pretty awesome guitar strap. It came in the original MUSIC MAN black road case.

It's pretty impeccable. I can't believe the sound that comes out of it. The axe I have been attempting to coaxe sounds from for the past few months has been put back in its box (albeit with blessings and thanks). Thank god I spent a bit extra - although at $1250 AUD it feels like a bargain. I will spend the rest of my life trying to be worthy of this piece of art.

I was unsure of the teal colour at first, and the photo I have posted is the one in the sale advertisement. It looks much better in the flesh though - not gaudy at all.

Again, thanks for everyone's advice. If anyone wants to recommend good learning resources I'm up for it. Particularly looking for funk licks that I can just get into a groove on.

Dude, GREAT CHOICE! I knew you would go with the 'ray. That transparent finish is pretty tasty.

Congratulations on your new to you 'Ray! Teal'n'maple looks awesome and very classic!

You'll find that the StingRay will offer you a wide array of sounds, from vintage to modern, rock to funk, sublime to aggressive, with just a bit of adjustment on the EQ, picking hand position and picking style.

Hey thanks again everyone for advice and congratulations. Feels like I had a baby.
Also, thanks for those links to learning resources. There's lots there to keep me going.
Take it easy.
