I think it was in about 1990, at the Hammersmith Odeon in London. An Everly Brothers concert (awesomely good) featuring Albert Lee on guitar.....not all the fast country stuff but supported the songs beautifully. He was playing an odd reddish guitar that looked like a strat with the curves sawn off. Apparently a prototype called an Axis (at the time).

So when was the first time you saw an EBMM guitar??

The guitar Store in Glasgow when it was in the 2nd floor of some old building in queen street. They had a flo yellow sillo with a black eagle decal on it. Stunning

The first time I ever saw an EBMM has to be a Van Halen video.

But the first time I noticed it was when I watched the Scenes from New York DVD. I had no idea that with some product research and a little bit of courage to order one I would be so enraptured with a guitar. :)

EVH advert in a guitar mag. As for seeing one live the first time, it has to be in a small guitar store in San Diego where I saw and bought a used Morse.

Local music store. A friend that works down there was playing a sweet guitar in graphite pearl. It had just come in I think. It was a JP6. I played it for about 5 minutes - long enough to acknowledge it's perfection and price tag. I thought i'd never be able to afford one! Then about a year later I ended up ordering a Mystic Dream JP6 w/ matching headstock. The rest is history!

About 8 years ago, the bass player in the band was raving about his EB bass.
- I never thought about EB guitars before then.

The funny thing is that he bought an AL guitar last year because of mine and has now just got himself another EB bass!!

The first MM guitar I saw was Keith Richards playing a Silhouette on the Steel Wheels tour in '89. Honestly, I thought it was a Stratocaster with a weird looking headstock. I am sure I had seen a Stingray before that.

The first time knowing the player was using a Music Man must have been Saga in 2002. I'm sure I saw one before, but can't recall it.

First saw it on a guitar magazine featuring Steve Morse, that was when Kramer/Ibby/ESP was more in demand on the rock scene. My first impression with the EBMM guitar was it looked odd with the 4x2 tuners, I even thought that they got the design of the headstock from the Slinkys bird :D

I wasnt interested until they released the EVH model, but it was the Mr Horsepower that really made me to buy one.. sadly, I found out that Mr Horsepower isnt really commercially available.

Oddly enough I think it was on an Xgames or Warped tour where someone gave an EBMM guitar as a prize to BMXer when he smashed it up on the ground. It may have been Mr. Ball giving the prize, can't remember.

I'd known about EB products before that but didn't know they made any guitars.
