So sorry to hear that man. I wish you if they find it, that it was not in poor condition. I will watch for a JP7 DG without hs case on the net for you.

Stolen yesterday (April 19, 2007) from my house.

Someone broke in and took the computer (with all my music, contact info, homework, etc. on it) and the guitar. A very random thing, the guitar was just there, shiney, and easy to grab on the way out it looks.

Hey bro I'll keep a lookout for it, since I am in state. You might try to check every pawn shop or music store that you can around the state, the guy probably doesn't know jack about guitars he will probably ditch it as quickly as he can. I might be able to help with this.

If anything of mine got stolen I'd feel so violated. But my guitars, I'd be devastated. I really would. I'm so sorry man. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

It's getting that way over here. Some guys tried to break in here while my Girlfriend was at home with the babies. Lukas was 2 and James was like about 4 months at the time. They could hear them crying and stil lthey carried on trying to get in. I have a real hard time trying to understand how anyone could be that way.

SOrry I know how you feel still reeling from my laptop theft

Yeah... as great as my guitar was... insurance is buying me a new one... (I'll be ordering a brand new one as soon as they get everything cleared. If someone is dumb enough to try and ebay it... maybe I'll end up with a 2002 and 2007 JP7... lol), all that irreplacable stuff on the computer is what has me actually depressed. Not only because work is lost... but because personal information is on it... I don't want people knowing who I've dated, stopped dating, care about, friends who have had rough times, my rough times... etcl etc. There's nothing on there I couldn't face my friends and family with, but there are things on there no stranger needs to know. It's a very strange sensation... when I went to sleep last night, I saw Finale and Guitar tracks in my head...

The police say they have a couple of leads... I hope they are right about one of them...

Thanks a lot man.. My computer access right now is very erratic, but would you mind emailing me a way to get a hold of you.... and/or I'll pm you my number...

I think my Dad got the computer number from Dell... I don't know how often people pawn a computer, but maybe having the number will help.

Is the world changing that much, or has our increased abilities to communicate with each other just made us more aware of it? Sometimes it seems like it's just getting worse... my town has 10 thousand or so people in it... a rural town in the middle of nowhere... And people are stealing computers and guitars to pawn for crack and crank all the time. So frustrating.

I made pawn shop rounds again today looking for my stolen SiLO. I watch ebay and craigslist daily. I miss mine too. This board has proven successful at getting them back before. Still I know how you hurt.:(

a friend of mine had his guitar stolen and got it back after 7 years. A pawn shop sent it in for repairs and we recognized it. Hopefully this will happen to you?

Oh mate I'm so sorry - we've also been on the receiving end of a breakin and nicked laptop in the last few weeks - and I can completely sympathise with how it gets to you. Yeah, ours was replaced within a week, but you do feel so incredibly violated.

I do hope they catch who did it (in our case they've closed the file as they had no leads..) and that you can get your stuff back - I really do.

Seems like there's been a lot of this happen to the forum recently - us, BP. Spud, Koogie, and now you! I'm really sorry :(

We had a store manager who stole about $10k - 20k worth of stuff and pawned it. We of course fired him immediately and pressed charges. As far as I know, he's out bail waiting a trial date. We did recover everything (that we know of).

Side note, he is working at Guitar Center now. No, seriously, he is! They can have 'im! The guy is a pathological liar.

I had a motor scooter get stolen off my front porch, I was absolutely livid! That little thing saved me a bundle in gas every month. There were a bunch of break-ins and stuff in my neighborhood.

I had a conversation with myself, I said "self, should I buy bullets for my .303 Enfield? No, probably not. I'll go buy a .357 Magnum" and I did.

As for the death penalty, what greater deterrant is there?? If somebody is dead they can no longer commit the crime...and people used to be hung for thievery.

Ah finally, the voice of reason. We can solve all our problems if only everyone has a big enough gun.
