Hey folks,
My beautiful Bongo 4 HH finally arrived today after a long wait of 6 months. It has been well worth it though. What a stunning instrument. Absolutely beautiful and finished in the amazing Chilli Red. What an awesome colour.

Been trying Stu, but It keeps saying that the files are too big. Don't know if they need making smaller in order for it to work? I'll have another go.

Have seen pics of Chili Red Bongo. They look great! Would be what I would get if was buying a new one now.

Keeps saying JPG upload failed???? Can anyone shed some
light on what might be wrong????

Resize the image to about 1000 pixels on the longer dimension
and adjust the jpeg quality down to about a 350k file size. That
will work on most forums these days.

######################################

It's kinda counter intuitive to reduce one's pix to waaaay under
one megapixel and file size to waaaay under one megabyte cuz
those numbers are sorta ancient history, photography-wise. But
most forums still want very "light weight" files despite the fact
that today's cameras punch out huuuuuge high resolution files.

I suspect it's cuz, internet-wide and world-wide, more peeps
using better and better phone cameras, are shooting and then
posting far more imagery, by orders of magnitude, relative to
almost just yesterday, when image files were so much smaller
and phones were only for voice and text. There's just no room
online for full resolution file sizes given the explosion in the
proliferation of image-making by everyone with a phone [and
that is the same mass of humanity the posts every image of
their daily life online].

Actually I am in the process of having the Black Pearloid scratchplate changed for a Tortoiseshell one by EB. I originally placed my order in December for a Tangerine Pearl Bongo with a Black Pearl plate, but I found out in February that they were doing Chilli Red as a new colour for 2016 so I managed to change it. Unfortunately it didn't come with the Tortoiseshell plate as I assumed it would. After a call to my dealer and his conversation with the UK distributor and a further call to EB in the states I am supposed to be having it replaced. Yes the Black Pearl looks good, but for me it will be exceptional with the Tortoiseshell scratchplate. I originally saw a pic of the Chilli Red with that configuration of plate and it looks so, so good.
