I rescued a 2001 Stingray Autumn Redburst Sparkle with matching headstock from Davy Jones' locker... better known as ebay.

A guy bought it brand new for his girlfriend, who loved the color and decided she wanted to learn to play bass, and she played it very little, and then gave up, its been sitting in the case ever since.

Had the same strings on it that it left the factory with.... so I took them off, gave the entire bass the Wonder wipe treatment ( instrument polish and fretboard conditioner ), put on some fresh Hybrid Slinkys, gave it a new Duracell, and it's ready to go.

Its in near mint condition and the color, to say the least, is mind blowing, I love it.

Im glad it has a new home.

Great find, man. Congrats. Not to be a smartass, but that finish is Autumn Redburst, rather than Redrise. I had a Redrise .. same year. Zak Duarte has it now. There are pics of both in the colors/finishes sticky. Again, congrats. That's a great year!

I love it!!! Those sparkle burst colors are great for the live show...when i had my burst apple SR4 people would tell me how it shined in the light

matching headstocks are the way to go!!!

Thanks for the Birthday wishes everyone....

This Stingray sounds really good, it has a different vibe than any of the other Stingrays I've owned.... This is the first Ray I've had that has a maple fretboard, so maybe its just brighter than the rosewood Rays I have owned.

Nice

Sweet looking bass. I had the same year and color scheme....like an idiot I sold it so I could buy a Rick. I've since rescued one of my own though.

Good luck with it!:D
