well i'm not to worried about how my personal guitars look, as long as they play and sound good. moving the switch was about not hitting it when I strum.

If you like I can re-locate the switch on your AX40 to the same place the JP50 switch was. I'll even plug up the original hole. ;)

i hope you know that i was just kidding around.

Yea Pat, I know your kidding as the toggle on the Axis/AX40 is in a perfect position.

Do you think that they might move the switch on the JP50 or would that be too expensive.

since it's a signature model, they're probably gonna keep it the way John uses them. The JP50's we ship all have the same switch location as the USA version.

The Axis toggle location is perfect.

Yea... that was a dumb question. I realized it right after I wrote it. Of course there not going to move it. Its in the same place as a real JP.

Thanks for this demo. I think you just made up my mind about putting the Liquid Fire/Crunch Lab into my beloved JP50. Sounded like you use the neck LP pup for most of the single note stuff there? It really sounded much smoother and liquidy (no pun intended), lots of sustain too. I wish you had it up louder.

the neck pickup is really good. It is smooth, but has clarity. I really dig the neck pickup for single note playing especially higher up the neck.

Thanks

Pat,
did you have to do much routing or drilling for putting the new pick ups in your JP50?
Also, what kind of switch did you upgraded to?
Your JP50 is great, thanks again for the demo.

the pickups dropped right in, no routing at all. The switch is the same one, just relocated.

Thanks
Pat

I'm listening very good opinions here in Brazil about Sterling! There is a new brazilian guitar player, called Daniel Pique, who starts to endorsee it. The distrubution here is made from Royal Music.

Good to hear your happy with it! the stock pickups are good. Hot output and work well with high gain.

Send me some pictures of the Tremol-No. I've been thinking of getting one for my JP50

sure thing!
the camera is still with my sister, i cant get some porn pics of it yet..

:D

loved the pickups!
you guys did a great job! IM LOVING IT..!

compared it to those IB___Z Pre_____ models :D
this one definitely kills them!

(for me i dont know if its all psychological, but I had it tried by my friend who has those IBZ and he drooled over this pet!)

the whole 3 weeks wait was definitely worth it!

Congrats on finally getting it. Lower the action, straight out the truss rod and you can shred on it for days. I had my tech did a fret dress on it, plays like a high end guitar.
Let's see some pics.

I love how it was setup the way I got it :)

I'll wait for the camera from my sister, ;)

might not be getting new pickups for it,
im loving it the way it is!

and oh the smoooooooooooothness of the tremolo..
it's so good that there should be a law against it!

im thinking of some minor cosmetic changes,
like getting new knobs for it, get some pearl tuner knobs on it,
for it to look elegant ;) the gold/bronze decal looks so elegant!
i think im becoming redundant...

some of you said that the switch is not so good,
but to me i think it was good!

OH HOW I WANTED MORE!
probably and hopefully a 7 string model? :p

LOL
