Here's my dream for the NAMM 2016: A (non-classic) Sabre 4 and 5! Standard finish, standard neck (oil and wax), standard 3-band EQ, standard bridge (no mute pads). Pricepoint similar to the regular StingRay 5 HH. In my humbled opinion the Classic Sabre was perfect and would have been a seller (especially in Europe) without its "exclusiveness". In Germany they were asking about 3000 USD (in Euro of course) by 2013. Still some Sledge PDNs hang in stores because of the pricepoint.

You hit the nail on the head! I've wanted a Sabre for years and was both happy and a little sad that EB reintroduced the Sabre as a 'classic' model. Too cool for words, but I really want a modern version. The thought of a 5 string modern version with a 3 or 4 band EQ makes me salivate. Fingers crossed. Money remaining in pocket until after NAMM 2106.

I'll be at NAMM this year with the company I work for. On my free time, (if I have any) I would like to swing my the EBMM booth and check out their gear.
