Got the Email!

BassCentral got my new Classic Sabre, Tony Levin Sledge 4 String.
FedEx delivers on Saturday before noon here. This is going to be a long 25 hours.
Ill post pictures, as soon as I can get them made, and can put the bass down.

I have only one issue. There was no Certificate of Authenticity In The Box. Nothing Signed by Tony Levin. It's not a huge deal for me. I bought this one to play it. But if I ever was going to sell it it seems like something I should have.
Did anybody else that got a sledge finished instrument get their Cert?

Either way, this is a truly fantastic bass. More subdued than I was expecting, it's clear that if I want to get my wild and crazy insane finish I'm going to have to get either famous, or pay for a refinish. In the meantime I'll take Subtle Class. It's Grey which is the color for Brain Cancer, so it should fit right in around here.

If you can get your hands on one of these I would say do it. I hope to be playing mine for years.

Beautiful, how does it sound and feel? Yours are the first pics I've seen of a rosewood board, I'm glad I went rosewood.

It feels great. I haven't owned a Fat Neck bass in a while... While I was going through treatment I just couldn't handle them. This one I can. I haven't really tested the sound yet as my house is in record mode and currently setup to record guitar. I just plugged it into my guitar amp and messed around quietly. I can tell you there are 5 distinc sounds in the positions on the switch. I'll break out the big amp when the wife is at work on Monday. We keep it fairly quiet on the weekends.

So far. I am thrilled.

I haven't weighed it, and it doesn't feel bad on a strap. It does feel bigger than my Big Als.
So far I like it, but I don't see it replacing my Big Al Basses as my go to.
I'll try and weigh it next time I pick if up.

Thanks Pete.. I'm pretty sure my Hangtag was not there. I emailed customer care, and they are taking care of it though. Thanks for your help!

Nice bass man, good for you...I bet that color will really pop at night under the lights. Those type of paints seem to do best at night with bright lights. Also, great job on "Toybox" ! Nice job on vocals, I`m guessing that you ? Keep it up, PEACE

Thanks this is a really cool bass. I don't think it will be replacing the Big Al as my go to axe though.
And thanks for the kind word about Toybox. The Bass the Vox and songwriting are me. The recordings need work, but I wanted to have something available so people would know what we sound like.
