Hello there

I'm sorry for the question, I'm sure it has already been covered but I want to make sure I don't screw up my guitar...

I'm getting serious fret buzz when I fret the low E string at the 13th fret (that's the only spot on the neck where I get the buzz). Can I correct the probelm by adjusting the truss rod? If so, in which direction?

Any thing else I should know?

Thanks for your help...

when you look down the neck, does there appear to be a bow in the neck? or does it look pretty straight?

I will have to take a look tonight... what would I do in each case?

The weird thing about this buzz is that it appeared as I was playing all of a sudden I couldn't fret the 13th fret on the low E, and it was fine 5 minutes before...weird

buzzing that far up the neck is fixed by raising the bridge a LITTLE.......
if tht makes the action too high over the rest of the neck ....tighten the truss rod wheel about a 1/4 to 1/2 a rotation.......
stir to taste.......

Tightening the truss rod would be turning clockwise or counterclockwise when looking from the bridge to the headstock?

one more question... I would raise the whole bridge as oppose to a single saddle? How do I raise the whole bridge (it's an axis sport, hardtail)?

Sorry for being so ignorant

Thanks for the help

This sounds like it might just be time to put new strings on. You might want to try that first.
