Hi guys,
Been lurking for a while and the EBMM "group" seems pretty darn knowledgeable and helpful... so here goes!
I have come across a new Albert Lee SSS BFR in Black (with Roasted neck)... Looks great-- reminds me of the black/Black rosewood strat ('79) my buddy lent me to practice with when I was a kid and couldn't afford a nice guitar...
The issue is: I cannot find a reference to this model "anywhere"! Not here in the forums, not on EBMM site.. no where...so if any of you know:
Is it a "typical" BFR Albert Lee? (i.e. "tone-block")?
Are there any other changes on it that make it an "odd ball"?... I'm just surprised there isn't more info on this guitar....
I do also have a Silo Spec SSS that I have my eye on as a "back-up" (sunburst, black pic-guard...drool, drool drool
)
I am basically looking for a passive SSS for my little Trower/Otis/ blues "noodlings"...
I almost went for a Luke-- but I want a passive pick-up set for now...
Any thoughts/opinions/suggestions from you guys would be great!
