Hello one and all!

My new Axis has arrived!!! I now have 4 balls!!!!

Its a beauty! Axis in sunburst, hard tail and Rosewood fingerboard!! Its the first Axis hardtail I have ever seen with a Rosewood board. Are they rare?!

If Jon has any time, could you possibly let me know when it was made? S/N A91672 - and also what the official type of sunburst is described as.

I will get some proper pics posted, but in the mean time, here is a camera phone pic!

Even people in my office are impressed!

Not sure if that is the official color for the light green sparkle finish, but I like the name anyhow!

It looks just like this one, but mine is a hardtail and has a maple board.

Group shot to follow!

Sorry for beating you to it.......but at that price it would be rude not to!

Ok if we're counting balls

1. Axis Sport 2Hum Red Rosewood neck black scratchplate.
2. Axis SuperSport Red Flame 2MM90s with piezo.
3. Axis Purple Flame 2Hum Floyd
4. Petrucci no inlays black sparkle
5. Luke - Pearl Blue
6. Silhouette - trans teal maple neck H/S/S Floyd
7. Axis Sport Black Maple H/S/S

and hopefully next up Axis SS w/piezo (maybe an all Rosewood Axis too)

I think I'm addicted!

No I didnt! I bought my hardtail EVH in June of '95 from project Music in Hounslow. Its been well gigged now, and had a re-fret to prove it! It also sounds much thinner and trebly than the rest of the 'collection' for some reason. Maybe because the neck is slightly smaller?

I'll give you one of my balls for it :)

Do you have to order a hard tail axis direct from the factory, they're not standard production models are they?

This one came from ebay, from Nevada, and it was shipped to this lovely young lady I know in Virginia, who then shipped it to me.

You can't get an Axis hard tail any more sadly. They did them for a time, but the regular Axis only comes with a Floyd Rose.

Its my one man mission to buy every Axis hard tail I can find!

Yes, to quote Tenacious D, it looks pretty bloody awesome!

Everyone comments on it! I played it at a VW festival on Saturday, and it looked pretty cool indeed!!

Sorry to go OT, but which Orange head have you got sitting on top of the AD 140? Are those Oranges all yours? Very nice.

No, thats not my guitar or picture. Its a picture from Gbase - My sparke has a maple board and is a hard tail. So no, those Oranges are not mine. I use Line 6 Duoverb amps myself! :)

That's too bad! I was hoping someone besides me could start evangelizing about the awesome tone combination of an Orange Rockerverb and an EBMM Axis. :D Absolute tone heaven! :)

Great score Tim, i wish EBMM still made the Axis with a hardtail too...tone controls don't have any purpose for me.

Steve i thought you got your second ball...that sport with the MM90s! What happened, did it fall through?

Pick up the Luke in 3 weeks, already planning the next ball
