Hi everyone. I just wanted to drop by and say hello. I'm not totally new to the forum. I have logged on from time to time to read the posts and check out the pictures of all the gear.

I've always been a big fan of Music Man basses and have owned a few over the last 30 years. No matter what other basses I play I seem to come back to Music Man. They really are such great instruments.

Sadly I had to sell my only Music man bass last year. I had a wonderful black Sterling four string. I hated to get rid of it but finances were such that I had to sell. Now luckily I am in a position to buy a new bass. I took the plunge today and bought an incredible Classic Stingray, Lake Tahoe Blue with a roasted maple neck! This is one of my favorite colors. The roasted maple neck on the classic is something I haven't seen before. I have been looking at these on the Guitar Center site for a year. I happened to look today and only two were left. They were on clearance and I think I got a pretty good deal. Here are some pictures from the website. I may post a few when it arrives.

Hopefully I can join in on some of the conversations and become a more regular member of the forum. Now for the long wait for the FedEx truck!

Welcome back to the fold!

Absolutely stunning.

I am a big fan of the white pickup cover with the tort guard. I am also a fan of lots of pickguards. :D With the four string Stingray pickup, you can change out the white to black with relative ease, so lots more options. Win!

Welcome back! What a bass to come back to! Congrats! See the above quote? That is me as well, albeit it about 14 years.

I initially thought I might change the pickup cover to black. I suppose you can get these directly from Ernie Ball?

You can get them from your local Musicman dealer. If they don't have the part number, you can call Musicman to get it. I'm not sure that MM will sell directly... but you can always ask.

Love that color! Welcome aboard. I'd switch the PU cover to black, personally, but it looks god either way.
