Ok, so I got myself an Old Smoothie, the burst, and it is now my favourite single pickup musicman ever. Some might be in the Leo Fender corner and prefer the normal SR, but boy does this bass sound exactly like I want it to!
Pictures to come of course.

Nice. Congratulations. New basses are always great.
Right now I'm just happy to be able to play through the ones I have again.

Congrats!
You know, I typically dig the tone of a passive bass...but that old smoothie sounds incredible!!! :-)

Oh , you're still in the camp with a Smoothie , but post some pics ... congrats strummer !

Thanks! Ok so here is one, I will try to do some better ones...
I don't know how others se the tone on these, but I dime the bass and have the treble at 1/3-1/2, except when I play with a pick and want clang, then I just open the trebe up full.
This is a big difference to the Bongos and SR5:s I have had, where my defalut was all controls at noon (some extra bass on the SR5).
