Hello all,

My name is Dennis and I just joined the forum. I've been reading through posts here and on TalkBass learning what I can from the Bongo owners. I thought I'd introduce myself and say hello.

I called Bass Central this morning and purchased a new Bongo. It's a 4 string HH in white with a white pearloid pickguard. I have to say I really wanted to not like this bass as I found its looks too striking and unusual. Five minutes with the Bongo and I was sold with only P/U config and color to be determined. It seems HH is the most popular and I really like the flexibility and punch this config offers. I had a hard time choosing a color. The Carvin LB70 I recently sold was white and I rather liked the look so I went with white.

I'll post pics when it arrives. Can't wait!!!!

congrats on the new purchase and welcome! You're going to love your Bongo , it's rapidly sweeping the continent. :D
and white with a white pearl p/g... sounds slammin'! You'll have to be sure to pull out the Sly Stone & Graham Central Station licks.

Welcome! Hm... Wasn't white discontinued recently because of the complications of the finish on the body and the finish on the neck? In any case, great color combo! And if indeed white has been discontinued, you'll be one of those few who have a rare Bongo! :p

Welcome to the forum and understand, it doesn't matter which EBMM bass you bought. You are headed for years of enjoyment. Color don't make a bass play better it just makes the owner happier. They all play good if they say EBMM on them. White is awesome, so you can feel special even among EB lovers. :)

I saw that white Bongo at the Bass Central website and liked it a lot, however my colour choices were restricted to one of the 3 Bongos in stock in this country.

Hello Deaj.
As you can see I'm also new to the forum.
I recently received a Bongo 4h/h. You'll be happy with that for a long time.
White is great, I especially love it with the abalone PG, like bassmonkee's fretless.
