New Bongo owner and new to forum...

I stopped in at a Guitar Center today to play around with the Bongo some more. What a fantastic sounding instrument! It's going to be a long week

My white Bongo 4 HH has arrived! It's factory fresh and beautiful. It's also in need of a setup (I'll most assuredly do this later tonight). I'll also take some pics and post them here.

My rolls burgundy with uglyass black pearloid pickguard arrived today. Have restrung with D'Addario Chromes and fitted straplocks, ready to give it a blast at rehearsal tonight. Hopefully the tort and plain white pickguards I've ordered arrive in the next few days, before I hammer roofing nails into my own eyeballs.

Yes, I found out that the white has been discontinued from this forum. Pretty cool when things work out that way The neck plate on the back says 'Limited Edition'. That's kinda cool!

I recall Jon saying that the limited edition neck plates got mixed in with the regular ones. While they did get most of the limited edition neck plates out of the stack, I guess one or two have slipped through. It's a coincidence that two of the forum members just happened to get white Bongos with limited edition neckplates in a relatively short interval of time!

it might just be my monitor but you can kind of see that the neck is a different shade of white than the body...and i heard on another thread in here that they couldnt get the colors to match or something so maybe thats what they mean?

i for one would not have minded minor the color difference...but thats just me

Thanks! I'm really pleased with the GK rig. I'm thinking very seriosly about a 4x10. Great lows from the 1x15 but not alot of punch. The 2x10 in the combo is pretty punchy but you can't have to much punch

Definitely a shame that they discontinued the white. I haven't spent any appreciable time looking for a difference but I can say that if there is a difference it's pretty subtle. The color is stunning regardless!
