Any pics of the roasted necks on these? I know they won't be figured like the EBMM, but I'm just curious how they look.

The Sterling knobs do not have the rubber grip that the EBMM knobs have.
Nice. Thanks for the pics, Brian. I do believe this is going on my wish list for the year.
You meant the month, right![]()
Thank you!!!!
Is there a chance to see the same kind of pics of the sterling jp 160?![]()
Also, how stable is the whammy on these? On my 2 JP6 it is VERY stable, as good as an OFR Floyd or Iby Edge (I own those too).
Yes, our stock SBMM pickups are 4 conductor, so they can be wired to your liking.
The SBMM "Modern Tremolo" that is standard on all of our JP series guitars (except JP16) is a very stable unit
For a good year I was playing weekly 4hr+ gigs with my SBMM JP50 Stealth, which features the "Modern Tremolo". I am a self diagnosed Whammy Bar Addict. My only issue (which is a continual issue no matter what guitar I play) was string breakage. Once I had the term modded with graphtech saddles -- no more string breakage!
If the tremolo system is set up properly and you maintain it, it'll return in tune no matter the abuse it receives. I would tune once after setting up my gear, then check it at the start of every set (rarely did I have to make adjustments over the course of the night).
I've also got a JP157, while I don't use the guitar that much (no longer in a band that uses 7-strings)...I did a demo for the guitar back in May/June of last year. Here's a link of me abusing this tremolo system, and then playing a chord -- Nick Cutroneo: Sterling by Music Man JP157 Demo and Review - YouTube
Hope that answers your question!
