Any pics of the roasted necks on these? I know they won't be figured like the EBMM, but I'm just curious how they look.

Nice. Thanks for the pics, Brian. I do believe this is going on my wish list for the year.

Wow! Thanks for sharing all of this?

My questions on page 1 was not answered:

Can the stock PU be modified to have the same switching system as the JP or you need to change them?

Also, how stable is the whammy on these? On my 2 JP6 it is VERY stable, as good as an OFR Floyd or Iby Edge (I own those too). The JP150 looks very very nice for the price. Thanks for sharing the pics.

Yes, our stock SBMM pickups are 4 conductor, so they can be wired to your liking.
The SBMM "Modern Tremolo" that is standard on all of our JP series guitars (except JP16) is a very stable unit. There are even modifications available, such as a Stone Tone granite tremolo block for both 6 and 7 string models. I believe that there are some saddle upgrades as well.
As with any tremolo system, there are ways to improve stability that are incumbent on the user, such as regular cleaning maintenance, and keeping certain parts lubed. If you take care of it, it will take care of you!

Pete Dubaldo does some fantastic work on modding our SBMM guitars. I highly recommend him. First class guy, first class service, and he knows his stuff!

For a good year I was playing weekly 4hr+ gigs with my SBMM JP50 Stealth, which features the "Modern Tremolo". I am a self diagnosed Whammy Bar Addict. My only issue (which is a continual issue no matter what guitar I play) was string breakage. Once I had the term modded with graphtech saddles -- no more string breakage!

If the tremolo system is set up properly and you maintain it, it'll return in tune no matter the abuse it receives. I would tune once after setting up my gear, then check it at the start of every set (rarely did I have to make adjustments over the course of the night).

I've also got a JP157, while I don't use the guitar that much (no longer in a band that uses 7-strings)...I did a demo for the guitar back in May/June of last year. Here's a link of me abusing this tremolo system, and then playing a chord -- Nick Cutroneo: Sterling by Music Man JP157 Demo and Review - YouTube

Hope that answers your question!

Thanks Brian!
Good to know, that there are upgrade sustainer blocks on the market, because that's not the best block mounted to the trem.
Otherwise they work great, but tonewise the upgrade should bring an improvement.
Just searched for the Stone Tone blocks.....puuuuuhhhhhh $160 for one block...that's abit too much.
Brian, do you know any upgrade brass blocks for the 7 stringer?
