Hey everyone, been eyeing the JPM off and on for sometime now, low and behold I found one this past weekend used for an ultra great price, played it 5 minutes and bought it:>) It is mint other than a tiny stress crack on the bodies neck pocket (lots of guitars get these). Is this common on these?
Also, I got no paperwork at all, per trem, etc. I assume the trem is to be setup like any floating trem?
Also, it has 10's, but for some reason they play harder than my other guitars with 10's (Strats and LP's). Specific reason for this per chance? Is it a weird scaled guitar or something? The tension just seems tight. Maybe I will have to go to 9's or hybrids.
I love where the knobs are, most guitars I have to redrill the volume knob as I have a wild right hand. Only problem is now the switch, I keep hitting it, argh. Maybe it's time to finally reevaluate my right hand techinique!
The Dimarzios are fine,b ut I have always preferred Duncans, anyoen replace pu's on theirs yet?
Anyways, maybe you can help with the above concerns.
Either way this seems to be a very nice guitar, solid and well rounded which will be lots of fun for a long time.
Thanks
